Hey Friends and Fans!
For the last 8 years I’ve worked passionately as a food blogger…and also as a health and wellness coach, community activist, and School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) member to improve the lives of kids and families. I’ve loved every minute of it. My greatest fulfillment is seeing kids get excited about nutritious food and helping people reverse sickness and other health conditions through diet and lifestyle changes.

Now I have a chance to do that on a much bigger scale with a vast reach….
Watch out Washington!
I have thrown my hat into the ring to be considered for a position in the upcoming administration in Health and Human Services as part of the Make America Healthy Again movement.
Here’s my submission!
No matter the candidate you voted for, clean air and water and safe, non-toxic food are not partisan issues! We all want healthy kids, and we currently have the sickest kids—and adults—in the developed world. If I get to go to Washington, I will work tirelessly to improve the health of all Americans starting with our children.

Here is how I propose tackling the chronic disease epidemic:
- 1) End subsidies to Big Ag and give them instead to small, independent, and family farms.
- 2) Issue an honest USDA food plate that reflects science instead of the preferences of food lobbyists.
- 3) Revamp school lunch program so that it contains real, organic, (preferably local) food.
- 4) Design and promote educational materials for parents and children.
- 5) Partner with schools to install vegetable gardens.
- 6) Provide the resources and incentives to schools to hold health fairs.
- 7) Create diverse opportunities for kids to experience delicious real food; for example, the Good Food Fighter was invited to make sample smoothies for kids and their families at a Texas Central Health event for an economically disadvantaged population. I explained the benefits of each ingredient and passed out charts showing how food can be used as medicine.
- 8) Leverage the power of entertainment to teach kids about nutrition; board games, video games and VR (Virtual Reality) universes will captivate and delight kids while they are learning how to lead healthy lives.
If you want someone who is dedicated to cleaning up our industrialized, pesticide-poisoned food supply and making healthy food less expensive and more accessible for all, please consider taking a moment to “vote” for me and to add a comment to my nomination.

Government by and for the People!
The site, “Nominations for the People” was started by grassroots Team Kennedy volunteers for the purpose of inviting “the people” to have a say in who fills the 4000 jobs that come with every new administration. Their goal is to be transparent and to honor the will of the people. Candidates who “rise to the top” will be considered by the Transition Team. I believe that I can make a difference, and I want more than anything to be selected.
Update: 12/1/25
I am extremely honored by the passionate recommendations of so many colleagues, friends, and clients. After helping to pass numerous bills in 2025 through house and senate testimony and galvanizing like-minded people to participate in the legislative process, I have decided to stay in Austin and continue to work for change through the Texas legislature. The next session is fast approaching and I’m excited about the potential to do so much more for Texan kids and families!
